The parable of the wedding garment opens before us a lesson of the highest consequence. By the marriage is represented the union of humanity with divinity.
Every normal individual wants to wear good apparel to cover his or her body in a manner that is representative of Christian standards of morality. No Christian in his right mind would want to appear before God improperly dressed.
